Omar Tooray mid-term school Ceremony

YOVENCO is honored to take part in the Omar Tooray mid-term school ceremony that was held at the school on 12/2/2019. The Omar Toorey Primary & Intermediate located Sha’ab village in Berbera. The school has 460 students (210 girls and 250 boys) and 13 teachers. Representatives from the local government officials, ministry of education & science, YOVENCO team, community education committee, students, parents, and other community members attended the ceremony.


The school principal Aidarus Ali Hassan opened the ceremony and spoke about school history, and the importance of this school to community development. He also stated that education is important to the community and to the nation as a whole.

He also thanked the parents, the government, other organizations, and the community education committee for their role in the school and student’s development.

Regional education officer,Hassan Mohamed said that they are committed to taking part in school ceremonies and mentioned how students can change their lives, the lives of their families, their community and surely involve in the development of the country.

Berbera Municipilty director of planning, Jimcaale Cawke, encouraged students to prioritize education above everything and he also stated to never get dissapointed in seeking education in Berbera.
